According to a newly website blog which has been recently created, is rightly advocating to the wider public in Santo and Vanuatu that the land upon which lonoc bangalows is situated is under dispute.
Lonoc land in adjacent to Hogharbour Village on the Island of Santo is on dispute writes http://lonoclandisondispute.blogspot.com/
The aim of this blog is to ensure that the wider public especially in Vanuatu including potential tourists in Australia and else where to be fully aware of the "fact" that Lonoc land upon which the bungalows have been currently built on is under dispute. In this regard, there are other several members of families in Hogharbour who are claiming that the land is indeed theirs. During the current duration of the land dispute, family Vocor who have been masterminded by their Leader Mr Kalmer Vocor were failing to complying with land tribunals notably the one administered by HogharbourVillage Chiefs. Under Vanuatu land laws, in order for a land dispute to be resolved, the claiming land owners have to go through a process of different stages and the first one is through the custom chief before proceeding to the hierarchy ones, upon which the Courts would be the last resort. Thus far, family vocor who have been purporting that Lonoc land was theirs without obtaining an order from the Court of Law have built their bagalows. The other claimng land owners have currently written accordingly to family Vocor via their respective solicitors in order for family Vocor to cease further development, however, and ofcourse contrary to the messages embodied in the solicitors letters, family Vocor failed to stop development. Ideally under both Vanuatu and English trusts laws, a trust should be initiated in order for the truly land owners to be made as the beneficiaries of the trust. Therefore once the Court of Law in Vanuatu had adjudicated the truthful land owner, then this particular family would be the eventual beneficiary of the trust.More to follow: WATCH THIS SPACE:-)If you have any queries please email us onlonoc_land_is_on_dispute@yahoo.co.uk
