Australian questioned in Vanuatu over fraud allegations

An Australian man has been questioned on the pacific nation of Vanuatu over his alleged involvement in a 10 billion US dollar investment scam.Trevor Frank Bettet is among three foreigners who met the island's prime minister last week to discuss what they called 'an investment opportunity'.However, the prime minister asked his country's Reserve Bank to investigate the trio, after he became suspicious of their activities.Mr Bettet was questioned by police in Port Vila and later released pending further inquiries.An American and British national were also questioned by police in New Zealand after they fled Vanuatu.
